Work Experience:

FRAMESTORE - Lead Animator (Dec-2019 – February 2026)

·       Character & Creature Animation: Delivered cinematic quality performances for global ad campaigns and episodic series, specializing in photorealistic creature movement and complex character acting.

·       Leadership: Provided artistic feedback and technical notes to other animators, ensuring high quality performance and continuity across shots. Trained new team members on internal animation workflows and pipeline integration.

·       Rigging Assistance: Partnered with the Rigging department to stress-test assets, providing critical feedback on deformation and control to optimize animator efficiency.

·       Motion Capture Retargeting: Imported and retargeted motion capture animations for crowds. The skeleton animation was mapped to the pipeline humanoid rigs.

·       Matchmove: Performed 3D camera tracking on multiple plates for very demanding shots that included rain, light flashes, obstructions, and rapid camera movements.

·       Pipeline Documentation: Authored technical documentation and pipeline manuals to standardize studio workflows.

·       Real-time/Game Engine: Developed character performances from Maya to Unreal Engine 5. Engineered custom animation libraries for AR and live on location character performances.

DNEG TV – Senior Animator (April 2017 – 2019)

·       Animation: Consistently delivered a high volume of complex character and creature shots for premier episodic series across HBO, Netflix, and Apple TV+.

·       Mocap: Processed and refined motion capture data, seamlessly blending sequences and performing cleanup to enhance character performance.

·       Technical Problem Solving: Entrusted with technically challenging sequences, requiring a deep understanding of physics, weight, and accurate integration with the plates. I also have experience with digital double takeovers and facial replacements.

·       Efficient Execution: Recognized for high-speed delivery and technical efficiency.

·       Diverse Character Range: Executed a wide variety of animation styles, from the mechanical robot dog of the Black Mirror episode, Metalhead, to the grounded gritty realism of Altered Carbon, creature animation on Westworld and puppet-like characters from Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.

·       Worked in the Feature Film Department for the Wonder Woman movie.

·       Complex Scene Management: executed highly technical shots for HBO’s The Young Pope, including a massive-scale sequence featuring 45 individual character rigs in a single environment.

·       Layout: Performed Layout work for episodic shows like Altered Carbon and Chernobyl.

·       BAFTA Award (2018): Part of the DNEG TV VFX team honored for the Black Mirror episode "Metalhead." Tasked with designing core locomotion cycles and defining behavioral attitudes for the lead character.

·       Official Selection in Palm Springs Short Fest 2009 for the animated short film Pasaje.

·       Official Selection in NY International Latino Film Festival for the animated short film Pasaje.

Personal Projects & Interests

Self-Published Author: Authored and published two novels within the fantasy series El Amo de los Tiempos, demonstrating a deep understanding to narrative structure, world-building, and character development.
